Lingualink Location

Wales is not England. It is a separate principality within the UK and has its own very distinctive Celtic language (the oldest in Europe), history and culture.

North Wales is home to some of the most spectacular scenery in the British Isles, including the Snowdonia National Park. It is a prime destination for tourists offering a variety of activities for walkers, mountain hikers, bird-watchers, water-sports, anglers, cyclists & nature enthusiasts.

Our centre (see above picture) is  in Rhyl. Rhyl has been a favourite sea-side resort with British families for decades and is well-known for its long stretches of wide sandy beaches (see picture below of Rhyl Harbour).

Rhyl is situated ideally between the spectacular North Wales scenery to the west and the historic and commercial centres to the east, such as Chester which is an ancient Roman-walled city which is a popular shopping centre. Chester is 30 minutes away by car or train.

Rhyl is only 60 minutes away from Liverpool. Liverpool has just been nominated ‘The European Capital of Culture’ in 2008. Liverpool is home to the Beatles’ museum, famous orchestras and theatres as well as to the world of football.

To the East the Roman city of Chester is full of fascinating history and is a great location for those who like to shop until they drop! The home of Manchester United Football Club is just over an hour's drive away and the theatres and maritime museums of Liverpool are also within easy reach.
